Why I started this blog
I wasn’t always good with money.
I grew up in Italy, where financial decisions were mostly handled within the family. I didn’t really think about budgeting, saving, or investing — until I moved to Germany and started living on my own.
That’s when reality hit.
I still remember my first months. I had a job, I was earning money, but I had no real system for managing it. I didn’t track my spending, and I underestimated how quickly money disappears when you’re on your own.
At one point, about a week before my next salary, I ran out of money.
I had to go to the bank and ask for a small short-term loan just to get through the remaining days. It wasn’t a large amount, and it was approved — but I remember feeling uncomfortable and disappointed in myself.
I didn’t want to depend on borrowed money. I didn’t want to feel like I was losing control.
That moment changed how I approached money.

What This Blog Is About
Crown Altessa is my way of sharing what I’ve learned along the way.
I don’t believe in get-rich-quick schemes or unrealistic promises. Most of what works in personal finance is actually simple — but not always easy to follow consistently.
Here, I try to:
- explain financial concepts in a simple way
- break down habits that actually work in real life
- share practical ideas that anyone can apply
Everything is written with the goal of making personal finance easier to understand and apply — especially if you’re starting from zero like I once did.
A Personal Note
This blog is also something more personal to me.
I like the idea that, no matter what happens in the future, this knowledge is documented somewhere. That it can help someone — even years from now.
One day, I hope even my own children can come here, read through these ideas, and learn something useful about money and life.
That’s my small contribution.
